Located in the green heart of Italy, in the region of Umbria, Cascia, Roccaporena, and Nursia (Norcia) are part of a mountainous region rich in history, spirituality, and natural beauty.
Just a few hours from Rome, these villages are nestled among the valleys and hills of the Apennines, in a peaceful and quiet setting ideal for contemplation.

How?

The pilgrimage through Cascia, Roccaporena, and Nursia is experienced with an inner attitude of openness, silence, and a willingness to encounter God.
It is not merely about visiting places, but about walking with intention, allowing each place to speak to the heart.

In Cascia, pilgrims are invited to share their intentions and place their trust in God, especially regarding what seems impossible.

In Roccaporena, the path becomes more intimate and unassuming, taking you through the everyday places where Saint Rita lived out her faith with patience and love.

In Nursia, pilgrims discover the value of inner order, prayer, and a balanced life, inspired by the spirituality of St. Benedict.

Why?

“For on this pilgrimage, the soul surrenders itself to God, learns to trust in His will, and discovers that grace blossoms even in the midst of pain.”

Visit Santa Rita, the patron saint of hopeless cases. It is the perfect place for those seeking hope, comfort, and answers.

In Roccaporena, discover the simple and authentic origins of Santa Rita in a unique natural setting. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a more intimate, personal, and deeply human experience.

In Nursia, explore the birthplace of St. Benedict, the father of Western monasticism, and be inspired by a practical spirituality rooted in the balance between prayer and daily life.

Basilica of Saint Benedict – Ora et Labora
In this Basilica, every stone and every space evokes the life of a man who taught us to live in balance between prayer and work.
The pilgrim who enters feels a profound calm, as if silence itself were speaking and guiding the heart toward contemplation and inner discipline.

Walking through its naves and contemplating the historical remains of St. Benedict invites reflection: here one learns that true faith is built in daily life, in humility, and in perseverance.
It is a place where spirituality is experienced not only in the visible, but in every breath that connects us to God and to the monastic tradition that has inspired centuries of believers.

Nursia is not just a place on the map; it is a refuge for the heart seeking peace and meaning.
To walk through its ancient streets, breathe in the air of its valleys, and gaze upon the Basilica of Saint Benedict is to feel time stand still and the spirit soar.

Here, where the father of Western monasticism was born, every corner invites introspection, every stone whispers stories of faith and perseverance, and every glance toward the horizon reminds us that true strength is born of silence and prayer.

Visiting Nursia is to experience a profound encounter: with history, with beauty, and with oneself.
It is a journey that stirs emotions, awakens hope, and leaves an imprint on the soul that lingers long after returning home.

“In Nursia, every stone and every street tells a centuries-old story of faith and hope.
Let yourself be touched by its serenity and feel your soul renewed.”

Come to Nursia, and let serenity and faith transform your heart.
